Guidejar vs Guidde in 30 seconds
Guidde is an AI knowledge-capture platform. Its own H1 reads "The #1 AI platform to capture knowledge and train teams." Record a workflow and you get a narrated, branded video and a synced written step-by-step document you can edit independently. For SOPs, onboarding and internal enablement, that dual output is a real strength, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise.
The friction in 2026 is which tier the good parts live on. Pay $29/creator/month for Guidde Pro and you still get no AI voice at all, only audio you record yourself; AI text-to-voice starts on Business. Desktop capture is Business too. MP4 download needs Pro, and it is switched off during the free Business trial. Automatic multi-language translation is an Enterprise add-on with no published price, so you have to call someone to find out what it costs. Self-serve Business stops at 5 creators.
Guidejar captures the same SOPs and ships those capabilities on $19–$75 plans you can buy with a card, plus a hosted branded help center on your own domain. The full feature table and the pricing math are below. Where Guidde is genuinely the better pick, we say so.
Four reasons SOP and enablement teams pick Guidejar over Guidde
Both tools turn one capture into a written guide people can follow. Guidejar does that job with the AI features unlocked several hundred dollars a year earlier.
AI voiceover
Narrated SOPs without jumping to a $59 tier
Guidde’s pricing matrix dashes "Text to Voice generation" on Free and Pro, so at $29/creator/month you can only record your own voice. AI narration starts on Business at $59/creator/month ($39 billed annually). Guidejar puts AI voiceover on Pro at $19/seat/month ($16 billed annually), and voice cloning on Business. If narrated documentation is the deliverable, that one gate decides your bill.
How AI voiceover worksTranslation
Translate one capture into 30+ languages — from Pro
Guidde advertises AI narration in 50+ voice languages on Business+, which is a different thing from translating a guide. Their own documentation says automatic Multi-Language Translation, meaning translated linked copies behind one link with a language switcher, is "available as an add-on on the Enterprise plan only", and no price is published for it. Translating on-screen visual text is Enterprise too. Guidejar translates a guide into 30+ languages on every paid plan, starting at $19/seat.

Publish SOPs somewhere people can actually find them
Guidde’s support use case is explicit about the model: export video tutorials directly into your knowledge base. It plugs into Zendesk, Intercom, Confluence, Document360 and friends. Great if you already run one of those. Another bill if you don’t. Its own customer-facing portals and branded shareable links are Enterprise. Guidejar gives you a searchable, branded help center at help.yourcompany.com from Plus, with Ask AI on Business, plus an MCP server so ChatGPT, Claude and n8n can read your guides. Guidde’s integration list doesn’t include one.

An SOP doesn’t have to be a video someone scrubs through
The same Guidejar capture also publishes as a clickable Walkthrough View, with hotspots, conditional branching and chapters. For training that lands better than asking someone to scrub a timeline, and it still exports to MP4 for people who’d rather watch. Guidde’s nearest equivalent is "Interactions (action items)": buttons on a video step that jump to another step, another guidde, or a URL, with a single action on all plans and Multiple Actions on Business+. And their docs are clear that "MP4 files do not include interactive elements such as action links", so whatever interactivity you add is lost the moment the video leaves the platform.

On the core job this is closer than the marketing suggests: both tools produce a written step-by-step document, both capture in the browser on a free plan, and Guidde wins the SCORM row outright. The gap is what tier things live on. AI voiceover, desktop capture, PDF/PPTX import and video-to-guide are all Business+ at Guidde ($59/creator monthly, $39 annual), automatic translation is an unpriced Enterprise add-on, and there is no custom domain or MCP server. Guidejar ships the same capabilities on plans between $19 and $75 you can buy with a card, adds a branded help center on your own domain, and lets the same capture publish as a clickable walkthrough when a linear video isn’t the right training format.

Pricing compared
Same team, same narrated SOPs, smaller bill.
$2,640less/year
for a 5-creator team, both on Business, both billed monthly
$19/seat
Guidejar Pro monthly with AI voiceover — Guidde needs Business at $59/creator
30+languages
Guidejar translates into these from Pro — an Enterprise add-on at Guidde
Bottom line: Billed monthly, a 5-creator team on Guidde Business pays $295/month. The same team on Guidejar Business pays $75/month, which is $2,640 less per year. Billed annually it’s $195/month vs $59/month, or $1,632 a year. At the entry tier Guidejar Pro is $19/seat/month against Guidde Pro at $29/creator/month, and Guidde Pro has no AI voiceover, no desktop capture and no PDF-to-guide import, so most narrated-documentation teams end up on Business anyway. One caveat that runs the other way: Guidde’s viewer seats are free, so if you have far more readers than authors, run the numbers on your own split.
Prices as of July 2026. Guidde bills per creator and its self-serve Business plan caps at 5 creators; Guidejar Business bundles 5 seats then adds $15/seat monthly. See full Guidejar pricing →
Where Guidde genuinely wins
Guidde is a strong product with real advantages. Here’s where it’s the more sensible pick.
Free unlimited viewer seats
Guidde’s pricing FAQ is unambiguous: only Admins, Content Managers and Creators consume paid seats, and "Viewers can be added to your workspace at no extra cost." Viewers still get to search, watch, share and export whatever has been shared with them. For an org with 15 documenters and 3,000 readers, that is structurally cheaper than per-seat pricing, and it is the single strongest thing on their pricing page. Guidejar’s nearest equivalent is an Unlimited Workspace Viewers add-on at $99/month, which isn’t even exposed in the pricing UI today. If your audience is overwhelmingly read-only, this one line can outweigh every price row above.
Dual-format output with a real Document Editor
Every Guidde capture produces both a narrated video and a written step-by-step article. The two stay in sync by default, and the document detaches so you can edit it on its own: hide steps from the doc, crop or replace images, add ALT text, set headings and a table of contents. Most video-first tools make you choose a format. Guidde ships both and lets you tune the written one without touching the video. If a polished, brand-intro’d MP4 is the deliverable and the doc is the by-product, Guidde is a video production tool that happens to also emit documentation.
Magic Mic
Talk through the workflow while you capture. Guidde transcribes it, cleans up the ums and the misspeaks, and turns the result into a polished AI voiceover for each step. That kills the write-a-script-then-record-it loop that makes narrated documentation so slow. It is Business+, and currently their flagship launch.
SCORM export and enterprise L&D governance
If your content has to land in an LMS, Guidde exports SCORM packages and Guidejar has no SCORM support at all. Enterprise also adds content review and approval workflows, version history, SCIM provisioning, Generative Quiz knowledge checks and AI avatars. All of it is sales-led and Enterprise-only, but for an L&D team running a formal training programme, that stack has no Guidejar equivalent.
Guidde Broadcast for in-app delivery
Broadcast is an SDK and browser extension that surfaces the right video inside Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Zendesk or Confluence at the moment of need, with targeting by role and department. Guidejar’s Help Center Widget embeds guides in your own web app, but there is no equivalent digital-adoption layer that reaches into third-party enterprise software. Broadcast is Enterprise and sales-led.
Which tool is right for your team?
Honest recommendations based on how your team captures and shares knowledge.
Choose Guidejar if
- You want AI voiceover on a $19/seat plan instead of Guidde’s $59/creator Business tier
- You need to translate guides into 30+ languages without an unpriced Enterprise add-on
- You want SOPs published on your own domain, in a searchable branded help center with Ask AI
- You want desktop capture, PDF and video imports without a Business contract
- You want the option to present the same SOP as a clickable walkthrough for training, and export MP4 too
- You want an AI agent to build your SOP library from existing docs, and the team to self-serve answers from ChatGPT or Claude — Guidde has no MCP server
Choose Guidde if
- Your audience is overwhelmingly read-only and free unlimited viewer seats change the math
- A polished narrated video is the deliverable, not a by-product of the documentation
- You need SCORM packages, approval workflows and version history for a formal LMS programme
- You need in-app contextual guidance inside Salesforce, ServiceNow or Workday via Broadcast
- You want to talk through a capture with Magic Mic and have it become the voiceover
Most teams should pick Guidejar.
It does the same knowledge-capture and SOP job Guidde is known for, written step-by-step documents included, but ships AI voiceover, desktop capture, imports and translation on $19–$75 plans instead of a $59/creator Business tier plus an unpriced Enterprise add-on. You also get a branded help center on your own domain rather than an export into someone else’s. And when a linear video isn’t the right training format, the same capture publishes as a clickable walkthrough. Choose Guidde when free viewer seats for a huge read-only audience, SCORM and LMS governance, or Broadcast’s in-app delivery are hard requirements.
Switching from Guidde to Guidejar
Guidde makes content easy to get out — this isn’t a lock-in story.
- 1
Export what you have
Guidde exports to MP4, PDF, PPTX, HTML, Markdown and Word. Copy-based exports work on the free plan; file downloads need Pro and are blocked in Draft mode and during the free Business trial.
- 2
Import into Guidejar
Turn those PDFs, Markdown docs or MP4s into guides in just a few clicks. Short flows re-capture in a couple of minutes.
- 3
Publish it properly
Choose Scroll View or Walkthrough View or both per guide, add AI voiceover, translate into 30+ languages, and put the whole library on a branded help center at your own domain.

For most teams documenting processes, yes, on value. Both produce a written step-by-step document from one capture. The difference is what the AI costs: Guidejar puts AI voiceover on Pro at $19/seat/month where Guidde gates AI text-to-voice to Business at $59/creator/month ($39 billed annually), translates into 30+ languages on every paid plan where Guidde’s automatic translation is an Enterprise add-on, and includes a branded help center on your own domain. Guidde wins on free unlimited viewer seats, SCORM export for LMS delivery, and Broadcast in-app delivery.
Yes, Guidde has a permanent free plan, capped at 25 guiddes with a Guidde watermark and web capture only. Copy-based exports (HTML, Markdown, Word, Confluence, Notion) work on free, but file downloads like MP4, GIF, PPTX and PDF require Pro or above. There is also a separate 7-day free Business trial, during which MP4 export is disabled. Guidejar’s free plan is 5 guides, with browser capture, PDF export, sharing, embedding and manual blurring included.
Yes, but only on Business and above. Guidde’s pricing matrix dashes "Text to Voice generation" on both Free and Pro, so at $29/creator/month you can only record your own voice; AI text-to-speech with 200+ voices in 50+ languages starts on Business at $59/creator/month ($39 billed annually), and Enterprise adds 400+ voices. Guidejar includes AI voiceover on Pro at $19/seat/month and voice cloning on Business.
Both. Every Guidde capture generates a narrated video and a synced written step-by-step document, and there is a dedicated Document Editor where you can detach the document and edit it on its own: hide steps, crop or replace images, add ALT text and headings, and generate a table of contents. Guidejar’s equivalent is Scroll View, the written screenshot-based rendering of the same capture, which also publishes as an interactive Walkthrough View.
Yes, on Pro and above. Not on the free plan, though, and not while a video sits in Draft mode or during the free Business trial. One caveat from Guidde’s own docs: "MP4 files do not include interactive elements such as action links," so the clickable action items you add only work inside the Guidde platform. Guidejar exports a downloadable MP4 on Plus and Business.
No, and this is a genuine advantage. Guidde’s pricing FAQ states that only Admins, Content Managers and Creators consume paid seats; viewers can be added at no extra cost, and they can still search, view, share and export the content shared with them. Guidejar prices per seat, so if you have a small authoring team and thousands of read-only viewers, Guidde’s model may well be cheaper. Worth knowing: Guidde’s self-serve Business plan caps at 5 creators, and beyond that you are into Enterprise sales.
Careful here, because two separate things get conflated. AI narration is available in 50+ voice languages on Business and above. Automatic Multi-Language Translation is something else: it produces translated linked copies behind one shareable link with a language switcher, and Guidde documents it as available "as an add-on on the Enterprise plan only," with no published price. Translating on-screen visual text is Enterprise too. Guidejar translates a guide into 30+ languages on every paid plan, starting at $19/seat/month.
Yes, on Business and above. Guidde’s capture-source row reads web only on Free and Pro, then web, desktop and mobile on Business and Enterprise; mobile and tablet capture shipped in June 2026. Guidejar includes desktop capture on Plus at $25/seat/month.
Billed monthly, a 5-creator team on Guidde Business pays $295/month against $75/month for the same team on Guidejar Business. That is $2,640 less per year. Billed annually it’s $195/month vs $59/month, or $1,632 a year. At the entry tier it’s $19/seat vs $29/creator monthly, and Guidejar Pro includes AI voiceover where Guidde Pro doesn’t. The exception is a large read-only audience, where Guidde’s free viewer seats can flip the math.
